Keanu and Sandra take you on a one-of-kind time-travel but the lake house was actually built for the movie. It is the wildest glass house you have ever seen with a tree growing up through the middle of it. And, as I have read, it had no plumbing and was dismantled as per the owner of the property. But I can't help fantasizing having kept it. You could have actually gone out on it and fished some fine summer's day. For me the movie is a great mix of fantasy and reality.
