Wow, what a load of pretentious claptrap. The effectively rendered but utterly specious pseudo-metaphysical declarations from psycho (devil/demon?) Hate -- yep, that's his name -- sound like shattered mirror reflections of various philosophers channeled through the likes of playwright Harold Pinter and filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. (However, towards the end of the film, he unintentionally [?] lets the cat out of the bag when he says something to the effect of "making it all up".) In dialogue with soon-to-be-ex-whore Love -- yep, that's her name -- the alleged witty one-upmanship is utterly embarrassing. (Likewise, Love's job interview sequence.) Underscoring all the would-be profundity, and following a current trend, the time lines/back stories are juxtaposed out of sequence to little effect. And while the acting is OK to good with Hate standing out, it's not enough to save this heavy-handed misguided melange of psycho thriller, pseudo-intellectual rumination and ghost story. (But, hey, it was enjoyable to see Ted Prior on screen again. Don't know his work? As an example, check out the shot-to-video so-bad-it's-good horror opus SLEDGEHAMMER. I dare you!)
