Farina's style is as hard to pin down as the globetrotting DJ himself, and this mix is no exception. It starts out on a deeper note, with an obscure a cappella that is signature Farina, moving quickly into some uptempo numbers that get the head nodding and the feet shuffling. The mix really lets loose with tracks from Check Diesel, Vibezselect, and the Littelmen before moving into warm, laid-back grooves to bring it home. It progresses nicely, a few dead spots (like the Kerry Chandler track) notwithstanding. While it's a far cry from the original San Francisco Sessions, this mix exemplifies why Farina gets held to a higher standard; he truly is in a league of his own. --Anish Acharya
