This score for I have been trying to find for 10 years.It wasn't until I discovered the exsistence of Amazon that I was able to find it.This is simply on of Jerry Goldsmiths greatest scores he as created for a few reasons.One is that in the time the Russia house, it was one year prior to the end of the Cold War.Instead of making the possible pre conceptions of gravitating to using a lot of militaristic to indicate the time and place this film was in, Goldsmith to a different approach.He found what both cultures, meaning Russian,American, and the British had in common.Jazz.By using jazz them for the scoring waht he created in my mind was something very special.The second thing to notice once agian is the simplistic nature of the use of the theme, and it is used through all the scenes.To be able to come up with something like this I find amazing.
