Few buildings in the United States enjoy a history and respect similar to the White House, designed by James Hoban. On July 16, 1792, President George Washington chose this project by James Hoban from six others, all made by renowned architects. This six-storey sandstone structure sought to impose respect from foreign citizens and visitors towards the nation. Built between 1792 and 1800, the building had to be rebuilt by Hoban after the fire of 1814. Once assembled, the LEGO White House measures 22.3cm wide and can be placed on a base with the name of the building. It is also accompanied by an explanatory booklet containing information on the building, its construction and its history.
