You get names you recognize, such as Ozzie Nelson, Glen Miller, Louis Prima, Cab Calloway and Nat King Cole. You get names that you probably don't recognize unless you are an afficianado, such as Skinnay Ennis, Charlie Barnet and Todd Rollins. You get some truly weird and wonderful old music. This is a fun CD, especially if you enjoy swing/big band era music. Be aware, though, that there are Halloweenish sound effects sprinkled between the tracks. Some of these are subtle and some are not. They don't bother me, but others may get annoyed by the slight intrusions. On a side note, I played a bit of track 9 for an old fellow that I worked with at the time and his face immediately lit up as he said "That's the Casa Loma Orchestra!" That was just one more reason I was glad I got this.
