Its too “articly.” Meaning each chapter was more or less a newspaper article series in parts. Which was okay till the end. There were some critical analysis which were well done particularly 20-20, World News Tonight, ABC Sports, and Nightline. Folks like Peter Jennings, Ted Koppel, Frank Gifford, and Barbara Walters were well-researched (but where was Lisa Howard, Al Michaels, Keith Jackson, and Barry Serafin). When it came to quotes, it seemed to be copy and paste from other sources and not the author himself. The big part was he covered the Geraldo Rivera career, Roone’s unlimited budget for him, and allowing him his own production company but firing him when he did a story about Kennedy assassination and the mob (Roone was friends with the Kennedy’s). He should hit conclusion button right after that. I lost interest when he got to the Diane Sawyer and Sam Donaldson part. It didn’t do anything for me but it confirmed my suspicions of what the Roone was: a butt kisser to the elite. I suspect Mr. Gunther as well.
