The Late Americans: A Novel - Random House Large Print Edition | Perfect for Book Clubs & Relaxing Evenings

This book was, for me, reminiscent of the structure of the novel Olive Kitteridge. It is an artful handoff of one character to the next, darting between the intimate connections of each personality, giving each person a chance to be in the spotlight; the protagonist. The writing is beautiful, thoughtful and evocative as it explores human dynamics in sexuality, trauma, race and artistic expression in a group of graduate students at Iowa State University and all they come in contacted with in their careers as students. This is a sexy post graduate coming of age tale that was a pleasurable thoughtful read.
