In the mid '80's I gave her a ride to Philip Roth's house in Warren after a book signing at the Hickory Stick Bookshop in Washington Depot, CT. She was so attractive and so engaging and if I could have kept on driving to a destination of my choosing I would have. Having read the reviews of the biography of Roth I found that I would rather read her autobiography. It was well written, very interesting, candid, and a charming remembrance of a brief time in her presence.
