LEGO Architecture White House Building Kit (21006) – Collectible Model Set for Adults & Kids, Perfect for Home Decor, Office Display & Gift Giving

My grandson has been a Lego fan since he was 5 years old. When an older friend of his brought this White House into school he fell in love with it so my wife and I bought it for his 6th birthday. Since the recommended age was twice his for building this project I was sure that I would be doing most of the construction with him. To my disappointment and surprise he insisted on doing it himself. Studying the pictures in the wordless instruction sheet and comparing the pieces, he was able to replicate the drawings. The assembly of the section that he was working on looked exactly like the illustration in the instruction sheet. 560 pieces later he completed construction without help. The pride and satisfaction on his face when he called us into see it was absolutely priceless.The drawings were simple and broke down the construction into small easily duplicated steps. There was a simple logic to the construction and as the building took shape he became more focussed and patient in his search for the pieces that matched the drawings. Not once did he become frustrated or had major difficulty. Although it is a bit pricey, I would recommend this Lego White House for any child who likes to work alone and enjoys solving puzzles.
