If you are looking for a movie that from the get-go leaves you asking "What is going to happen next?" then you've come to the right place.The premise is deceptively simple: its a new school year and a literature teacher in high school is already depressed in his outlook for the class; the first assignment for the students is to write about what they did for the weekend and most barely could string together two sentences. Just when things look bleak, he comes across a paper that reads something like: "I've been sitting in a park looking at a house for the past summer and wondered what it was like inside. It turns out a classmate of mine this year lives in that house, so on the pretense of helping him with math, I finally got inside this weekend." ...and it goes from there.What's going on? Where can this possibly go? What is the ultimate game being played?Few films have thrilled me as much lately as this gem. The script is great, the acting is great, the direction is masterful. If you want to watch a truly original piece of storytelling about the art and act of storytelling, you can't pass this one up- in 10 years you'll run across it again, finally watch it, then kick yourself for not having watched it sooner.
