Jesus’ triumph over suffering on the cross and his resurrection initiated what will be the ultimate triumph of God’s people over the chaos, violence, and fear that plagues the human race. Jesus said his story would initiate the transformation of the world similar to the way in which yeast transforms unbaked bread. In the end a new house of justice and truth built upon love and trust will emerge from the ferment of gospel yeast. He also said his gospel would be like an invasive species of seed in a field that transforms the entire social ecosystem.
