I am not reading book 14 of this 40 book series. Until I read this one, the second book was my favorite but this one now leads. The book is serious with conflicts, but has comic relief as well. I won't give the story away by saying any more. Many of the books in this series can be read alone because Morris offers background material enough to understand without going in laborsome details. This is one in the seies tht I recommend reading, even if you have no intention of completing the series.
