I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest reviewEvery time I read a Karpov Kinrade book I know I'm not only in for a treat but a wonderful read full of surprises and twists. House of Ravens is yet another book from the dynamic duo that leaves you on the edges of your seat, waiting for the next book to appear. If you haven't read book 1 Court of Nightfall you definitely need to start there.House of Raven picks up a few weeks after the end of book 1. Scarlett is just about to start classes and between being not only being Nightfall but now a student, her life has never been more chaotic. Throw in two hunky guys fighting for her attention, a too serious Nephilim, some new friends and new enemys on both sides whats a poor girl to do? Throughout HOR, Scarlett is finally figuring out what it means to have a double life, her new friends have questions and she hates lying to them but knows its needed in order to bring down the Orders and create her own. She's finally starting to realize that not everything is black and white, but a shade of gray and not everything is as it seems. She has to make some of the hardest decisions in her life and I am anxious to see how she comes back from it and how it is going to effect her in both her lives as Scarlett and Nightfall. This book is full of twists and surprises and just when you think you have something figured out, BAM!, it changes and your going back and rereading the chapter again just to see if there was any hint you missed.This book made me laugh, cry, angry for the characters and even want to punch some of them in the face. Not all authors are able to make their readers feel like they are actually living right alongside the characters in their books but Karpov Kinrade not only do it in this new series but in all of their books! Their books are a 1-click for me because I know I won't be disappointed.All in all, another wonderful job done and I can't wait for book 3 to come and see what is in store for Nightfall next!
