The icing to hold the house together was too soft and took a long time to set up. Holding the pieces in place was very taxing. Otherwise, my 6-yr-old guy had a blast doing the decorating on his own. Worth it in the end.This is a nice product but it arrived broken and Amazon provides absolutely nowhere to ask for a return or replacement.The product was broken quite a bit and the frostings were very dry, not moist at all. But what can you expect when you order something breakable and it comes broken.There were several broken pieces when it arrived that I had to patch together. One of the icing bags split while trying to squeeze out the icing. The Orange icing was not thick, it was more of a gel type icing that did not set well. It had a translucent color with just a slight tint of Orange. It was a hot mess. I was completely disgusted with the whole project but did take a bite of the cookie which was pretty gross...For me, it was a waste of my time and money. I was so frustrated I scooped up the whole project with the disposable tablecloth and threw it in the trash!!!The idea seemed good; for many holidays, I decorate various food items with my grandchildren. (Then after taking pictures, we happily eat our artistic results). This package arrived with the major pieces broken and we cannot build the structure to decorate with little pieces of cookie. Amazon won't replace them and the package is not returnable. Wasted money. It was in a box with another item I'd ordered and that one had broken pieces too - I guess the handling of the whole package was too rough. Very disappointed.Just don’t... I ordered this product thinking they would put enough bubble wrap inside- you know since it’s a gingerbread house. Well I was wrong. When opening the box it was shipped in- there was zero bubble wrap. I thought maybe it still survived the trip some how. It didn’t. Every single piece except one front side was broken into several pieces. We opened it and tried to use the icing provided to piece it back together. The icing didn’t work. We tried to super glue it back together- that also didn’t work. So now we are out money and have a couple of upset children since they couldn’t do this particular one in time for their gingerbread house contest at school. They also do not offer returns, so if you buy this time, there is a high probability you’ll be out some money.Very cute but several pieces arrived broken, which was frustrating and made it hard to assembleCame whole, nothing broken. Good ingredients, kids loved the taste and usually gingerbread house cookies taste bad. We could not get the pre-made icing to harden for some reason (we made our own also and that hardened) but the kids still loved the whole experience. 4 stars for pricing,(it would've been 5 if it were a bit less money) but.. even though it was 3x the store price, we were glad to get it because the local TJ's were sold out.
