The Playmobil Adventure Tree House has been a hit with my kids. It was a gift for my 3 year old for her birthday (I know, 3 seems a little young, but she's the baby of a large family, and playmobil is one of the kids favorite toys. This is her first big set she's ever received.). She loves this set! As do the other children (age 5-11). Do pieces find new homes occasionally? Sure! But there are so many different intricate pieces to make this set a stand alone playset, that losing a few doesn't kill the enjoyment. They love that there is a mama bear and her cub, and a fox and her pups, and little caves for each to live in. They are using this as their wilderness cabin.I did manage to buy this when it was discounted for the holidays (the perk of having a birthday right after Christmas!), otherwise it would not have even been an option to buy as it can get quite expensive at full price. This has been a well loved gift, by all the children 3-11 year old. The older ones love to set up scenes, and the younger ones get so excited to play out the scenes the older ones set up. I do think it's more fun for the younger kids when the older kids and I take the time to put all the little pieces in the right places (as opposed to letting the 3 and 5 year old rummage through the tote and look for little pieces, not knowing what it's for or what set it goes with). Beware, this isn't little people quality...things can break if the kids are rough with them. My younger children are girls, and not too rough with things. So far we have been pretty lucky to only have one figure break (not from this set) and that was from trying to force a kid on something only an adult could fit on.The only thing I'm not crazy about with this set is the tree coming out of the treehouse at the roof and the openings out the side of the tree house. A pain to keep on! Not a huge problem for us. We just don't keep all the limbs on all the time.Overall this was a win for our family!I'm conflicted about reviewing this. My daughter asked for this set, specifically, from Santa. Emailed him about it even. It looks like an animal rescue set, with the tree fort and the computer and tools, and with all the animals, it's clearly going to go to kids who love animals. But.. the people are equiptted kill the animals. My daughter is using the fishing pole as a fish-feeding pole, and says the gun is to protect the bears from hunters. I even heard one human getting chased away at gunpoint by the other for threatening an animal. I don't know. I think this set could be very much improved by omitting the firearm. Not a political statement, it's just that my little animal lover, who fell in love with this set when she saw it, doesn't want violence against animals as part of her play. At least it has a female character in an adventury set - that's refreshing.Just...WOW!!! I cannot believe how detailed and intricate these Playmobil playsets are! From the eggs frying in a pan (on a potbellied stove no less!)...to the keyboard of a laptop...the imagination of any youngster will go wild (for HOURS) playing with this Treehouse! In fact, adults will have fun too if my coworkers are any indication!I had it delivered to my work so I could put it together without my little one's "help" (if you know what I mean)...Well...little did I know it'd be the ADULTS & their "help" that would cause some drama! "I'll do the stairs!"..."Let ME put on the stickers!"..."No..Not THAT way!"..."That's MY piece!"...Whew!...When it was completed, anyone & everyone who came by had to be taken to the back room to see our Playmobil "masterpiece"...So...Yes! It is going to bring fun to your household! And since it's so sturdy, it should last years! The Playmobil Adventure Tree House Building Kit is one of the best Playmobil sets we have owned! Yes, it will take you some time to build, but remember, this is a building set. Have time and patience and the end product will be well worth it. You cannot hand this to the typical 4 or 5 year old and expect them to build it on their own....or at least not the ones I know! Playmobil is an all-time favorite toy that just lasts and lasts. We have toys from 15 years ago when an older brother had them! Love adding to our collection! Yes, we are avid Playmobil fans! See pictures!I love this set from playmobil! Once again, the attention to detail is just amazing! The bear that can eat a fish, the momma fox with her cubs, and the geese. I love the trap door under the bottom bunk, and the planks on the bridge that give way. The assembly only took me an hour, and I didn't rush it. This set will get lots and lots of play!Got this as a gift for my 4 year old son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. So do his friends. As with all playmobil, there are a ton of pieces and this can be annoying and not safe for younger kiddos in the home. We throw away all the super tiny stuff (ie coins and silverware) before giving it as a gift as it gets lost anyway. The rest of it we have a tupperware container for so it at least all has a spot to go. The details and animals with this set are great! What a great quality toy! Our son got it for his 3rd birthday. He is allowed to play with the bigger parts by himself. The tiny parts I give him only when supervised. He works on his fine motor skills, imagination and has lots of fun. He will enjoy this toy for a long time.Of course we had to set it up. Possibly an older child will be able to do it, but a small child won't. Following the directions is easy, but it takes some time. I have to admit, I had a great time building it and I enjoy playing with our son.My 6 year old daughter loves playing with Playmobiles. She could play for hours. When I initially showed this set to her online she was uninterested. When she unwrapped it for Xmas and set it up with her others it’s the most played set. It’s a dream tree house for kids with such cute details. So much fun and imaginary events for the kids to play with.A superb kit which includes an extensive range of objects, animals and features. As some reviewers have commented, it is a complex kit and needs time and an adult to assemble it. The diagram-style instruction leaflet is clear and there should be no problems. All the parts come in a whole collection of sealed plastic bags and is best to open these inside the large cardboard box once you have that opened. Some parts (eg: mouse, kingfisher, fish) are very small and can easily get mislaid. With its design of a full frontage and open back, the tree house offers scope for adventures inside and outside. We did find that one or two of the smaller branches detached very easily, but this didn't destabilise the structure. This present was bought for my granddaughter's 6th birthday and she and her nearly four year old sister had enormous fun with the kit as can be seen in the attached photos. They played with it on the day and then wanted it left on the floor on the next schoolday so they could play with it before they went to school or nursery, and then again when they came home and after any homework had been done. It's worth saying that the kit can be moved easily even though it is essentially in three parts .... the main base and house + the bridge (which is VERY Indiana Jones) + the island. These parts all unclip and can be moved separately and easily and then re-assembled.The tree house and all its accessories generated enormous amounts of play and talk and - as my youngest granddaughter discovered- also made an excellent home for her small 'My Little Ponies'. She especially enjoyed raising and lowering these on the little winch-lift which is part of the kit.I'll stop here and let the photos speak for themselves save to say that this was a very worthwhile and sensibly-priced toy which offers enormous potential for imaginative play and language development. But above all, it is good fun.I have bought quite a number of playmobile this year 2018 for various grandchildren and I am very pleased with them. Good quality stretches their imaginations. All 5 of my grandchildren share and play with the sets and they often merge zoo set with town sets and shops. Dinosaurs with dragons. Super heros are also thrown into the mix Age range 2.5 - 8 years Would recommend PlaymobileGot this for my daughter for Christmas.Great set, with sooooo many different bits. The only thing is it seems a bit was missing from the fishing rod.But all the animals and the tree house are great, great for making up adventure stories. Recommend. As usual a great quality product from playmobil. Lots of bits which took some time to assemble but went down very well with my playmobil mad son who is 5. It's a shame it's so expensive but it does last really well and has good resale. I think that this treehouse is one of the better animal related playmobil sets.My granddaughter loves this. She built it all herself with the instructions on Christmas Day.
