When I first listened to this album, I listened to it in a stack of other JLT music and some non-JLT Rainbow. I kept hearing great songs. It wasn't until I played just Sunstorm in my car stereo that I realized that the great songs were Sunstorm. My first impression was a fusion of Dokken and Asia with the tremendously talented JLT voice. This band helps heal the big hole left in my heart when Bad English broke up. The songs have that eighties feel that a lot of bands are trying to recapture but with a mature modern sophisticated production feel (like the new stuff Journey is doing). JLT was one of my favorite singers from MTV but I'd never gone beyond the Rainbow albums he sang on. I have since purchased the MP3s of all his solo work that are available (shame on Amazon for not having more) and the CDs that are still affordable. I can't get enough of his great vocals. Someone in one of the reviews said wouldn't it be great if JLT joined Journey - I just got goosebumps thinking of it. Jonathon Cain plus JLT would be totally fantastic. Sunstorm will hopefully be making more albums and never break-up though! I love listening to it in the car. It even makes traffic jams better (yes, even when you are following a blonde who is more interested in talking to the person she is transporting around than watching traffic). I do tend to step on the gas a bit more because the music is so powerful on a good stereo system. I wish there were more songs!!!!!!
