I expected for my book to come all ripped on and having bad drawings on it and such, bc when I bought i toke a chance on getting the less pricey one. To my surprise the book came in almost brand new condition really good can't wait to read it!This was exactly what I was expecting and the condition was great. thank you so much for asking my opinionI really enjoyed this book. Granted, it's not the original, so you need to take that into consideration. I think the author has a great talent. I always thought psycho should be carried on and when I found out there were 2 more books I was thrilled. The book out does the movie. All you "Bates Motel" fans out there, I highly recommend this book.Expected much more than a book about a fame-seeking author conducting boring interviews. Not as good as psycho 2 (the book) but still really great writing. I didn't care about the characters in this one as much but I really was impressed with the books after only seeing the hitchcock film and film sequels.Even Bloch himself didn't like this book.If you've read Bloch's bio, ONCE AROUND THE BLOCH, you'll find it strange that he had no interest or enthusiasm in writinga sequel to PSYCHO; it was his agent's idea. And (SPOILER) he makes a terrible mistake by killing off Norman Bates in thatbook. And then, 8 years later he writes PSYCHO HOUSE. And that's the only mention he makes, other than yes, again, hisagent suggested it. There is no heart or soul of Bloch in this poorly structured and paced story. A writer wants to write a bookabout the now-dead Norman Bates, visits the town where a Bates motel/house tourist attraction has been built. Sort of aninteresting idea with a Bates and a Mother animatronic...but that idea is dropped after a little girl is killed in the opening pages; she and her friend were sneaking into the unopened attraction. Who killed the girl? For next 200 pages, the writer interviews people. muses over her life, interviews people, a couple people are killed, there is talk of demons (?) in the Bates family. It's just terrible and lacks any narrative drive; it seems Bloch had zero interest in the story or the character. Neither did I.Awesome follow up to the original Psycho filmsthanksperfect thanksAwful, please don't waste your time and money. Nothing like Psycho & Psycho 2."The shelves were almost filled; he must have done a lot of reading. That didn't prove he was a freak, Terry reminded herself - lotsa people used to read books in the days before TV was invented. So this still didn't tell her very much about what Norman Bates was really like."Leider erfährt Terry beim Herumschnüffeln im Bates-Haus mehr, als ihr lieb ist. Great thank you!
